My name is Matías Vallejos. I am a bilingual interpreter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I consider myself a detail-oriented and highly skilled bilingual interpreter with a track record of facilitating effective communication between English and Spanish speakers. I’m seeking challenging opportunities to contribute language expertise and cultural understanding.
In regards to my work experience, for the past two years I’ve been working as a bilingual medical interpreter for two companies.
I worked as an over-the-phone interpreter for a year with SGF Global and for an additional year with the company Voyce. My daily responsibilities included providing accurate and clear interpretation during phone conversations, adhering to a strict code of ethics by maintaining professionalism, impartiality, and integrity while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards, and continuously learning and researching industry-specific terminology in areas such as commercial, financial, medical, and technical fields.
The most demanding part of the job is managing a very large call flow throughout almost the entire day. Naturally, in every interaction, it is of the utmost importance to maintain a warm demeanor, provide excellent customer service, and ensure accuracy with all handled and interpreted information. Striking a balance between working quickly and with precision is key.
