Duties: Booking of graves, coffin sprays, family car, bus, pamphlets, cross. Payments, writing out receipts. Assisting with claims by Emerald Life and 1Life, etc. Preparation of BI.

Normal reception duties. Answer calls and transfer to appropriate person. Reply to emails. Assist walk in customers.
Fleet Control: Worked hand in hand with the drivers and assistants. Weighed pallets, wrote out POD’s, made sure that pallets had 2 labels on, made sure that pallets were not higher than 1,8m and that it was on a 1m x 1.2m pallet and that stock was shrinkwrapped. Was present when trucks were loaded according to the temperature specified. Made sure that the load locks were in place that snow blankets were used to divide frozen from chilled stock. On the Durban route locks had to be used after each delivery to ensure that the load was intack.
Operations: Loaded all pallets onto the system and then we loaded the trucks on the system according to temperature. Organised the collection of pallets by clients. All pallets to be collected and dropped at the depot was noted on the whiteboard so as to avoid pallets been left behind.
Sales and Marketing: I assisted the sales team by being the one who assisted the client when they called in. Helped with damages of stock. Posting of calendars. Birthday wishes.
Sales: Was given clients I had to manage. Went to visit clients and find out what other routes they would like to use and quoted accordingly. Opened accounts for clients. Helped clients to use the online system – gave them training. When damages occurred I worked closely with customer care to sort it out. I would send emails to prospective clients introducing LMC
Express’s service and ask for a meeting for more in depth discuss of all their services available and routes. Planned my daily routes and completed my log book daily. Entered all interactions with clients on the CRM system.
