Hi, my name is Ana Cristina Herrera Medellín, I’m 27 years old, and I live in Aguascalientes, a small town in the center of Mexico. I would like to briefly share a bit about my background. I have a strong foundation as an Accounts Executive with expertise in both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). While my experience is primarily in AP, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and had the opportunity to study abroad for one semester in Finland. This international experience not only enhanced my cross-cultural communication skills but also deepened my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, which has been further enriched by visiting over 10 countries.
In terms of professional experience, I have over 3 years working as an AP Analyst at Sensata Technologies, where I was responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing payment cycles. I also have 1 year of experience in AR at MexQ, focusing on collections. This experience has given me valuable insight into both sides of financial transactions, whether as a payables analyst or a receivables professional.
In my previous roles, I regularly collaborated with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations. My responsibilities included auditing payment records, resolving discrepancies, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency within the AP department. Additionally, in both of my last two roles, I was continuously trained in Microsoft Excel. Although I wouldn’t consider myself an expert, I would say that I have an intermediate level of proficiency, which has allowed me to efficiently analyze data and generate reports for better decision-making.
I also have hands-on experience with financial systems like JD Edwards and Oracle, where I’ve successfully streamlined invoice processing times and improved communication between departments. These experiences have equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in an AP-focused role.
To wrap up, I believe I’m the ideal candidate due to my proven ability to manage accounts and work effectively with global trading partners. My experience has honed my client-facing skills, allowing me to communicate efficiently with a variety of personalities while delivering on expectations. Additionally, during the pandemic, I worked remotely for nearly two years, which has made me highly comfortable in remote work settings. I’m also a fast learner and highly adaptable, particularly when it comes to mastering new software, which would allow me to quickly adjust to your company’s tools and systems
