About
Hello everyone! My name is Adriana S.Thiago, I'm about to turn 32 and I currently reside in Rio de Janeiro.
I am a Portuguese-Brazilian women's rights defender with a BA in International Relations. I have more than 8 years of experience working with migrant and refugee women and girls in the area of access to legal status, access to rights and access to education in reception and transit centers in Brussels (Belgium) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Having previously worked as Communications Officer at the European Network of Migrant Women (ENOMW) for four years, I led internal and external communications and supported the work of the Network in its activities with members, as well as with member organizations in their respective countries. This means that, although Communications was not my main area of study at university, I learned in practice and am now very capable (and competent) at leading communications for an NGO or social projects.
During my time at ENoMW, I took on a second role at the organization Osez le Féminisme! in the area of social support for victims of extreme sexual violence in the context of their legal struggles against the pornography industry. After that, I worked at Associazione Aura (Italy), where I held the position of Communications Officer.
I'm also an independent singer and DJ, which means I can bring beauty and melodies to any kind of event, whether it's to entertain audiences with an exquisite repertoire or to make them feel at home.
