The Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly-motivated and talented Bookkeeping Associate for our Nonprofit team. The bookkeeper in this role must be a natural problem-solver and a purposeful communicator. The ideal candidate also understands accounting fundamentals, has exceptional client-facing communication skills, and thrives in a small business setting. In this role you will…
- Use your aptitude for detail-orientation to record & classify financial account activity in accounting systems (mainly QuickBooks Online) and process payroll
- Be an Accounts Payable whiz and record all vendor invoices and prepare bill payments
- Be an Accounts Receivable pro and prepare customer invoices or sales receipts, receive payments, and follow-up on aging receivables
- Be a key team member with monthly reconciliations and reporting
- Use your meticulous organization skills to ensure the proper documentation and notes are submitted into accounting systems and client records
- Help people on a daily basis through direct communication with our clients
- Be a lifelong learner while growing expertise in new accounting platforms and softwares
Who are You?
A team player and effective problem-solver seeking a long-term fit with a fast growing company that truly values its employees and clients. You have a knack for working with multiple clients on their bookkeeping and accounting needs. You enjoy flexing your brain muscles with concepts like prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, class tracking, sales tax entries, payroll and payroll tax, cash vs. accrual, & journal entries! It's like a puzzle, and you love solving puzzles!

- You have at least 1 year of accounting and/or bookkeeping for a nonprofit organization, including Grant experience
- Within the last 5 years you have used QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- You are a time blocking/calendar champion, having experience working with multiple sets of books at one time (example: bookkeeping for clients with a CPA firm)
- You are excited to learn new technology and resourceful in coming up with solutions
- You pride yourself on being organized and detail oriented
- Bonus points for:FACTS Software expertise,Church bookkeeping,Student Billing experience, multi-client experience
