Construction Accountant
We're on the lookout for a meticulous and proficient Construction Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting our construction projects with their expertise. This role will start as a general bookkeeping & accounting role, eventually learning to take over billing & customer finance responsibilities as well. As responsibilities grow, you will be compensated accordingly!
Construction Accountant Compensation And Benefits
- We offer a competitive pay in USD, commensurate with experience and expertise.
- Remote work as long as you are based in Mountain time zone
- Flexible ~30 hour work week from your home office
- Training on proprietary software
- This is a 1099 position
Key Responsibilities for our Construction Accountant
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Sync quickbooks online with our construction software, CoConstruct.
- Manage cusatomer accounts. Invoice and track customer accounts.
- Maintain accounts payable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- File 1099s as required.
- Generate financial reports and statements as required.
- Support the finance team with budgeting, subcontractor account reconciliation, and forecasting.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their queries and concerns.
Qualifications And Skills For Our Construction Accountant
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must.
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to create and implement standardized processes which address ongoing issues.
- Strong communication and customer relation skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
