This pivotal role is designed for a motivated self-starter who is eager to forge our brand’s presence within the foodservice and alternate channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research: Identify and target high-impact accounts in the foodservice sector, including restaurants, hotels, and educational institutions.
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate a strategic plan that drives sales growth and achieves designated gross margin objectives.
- Collaboration: Work alongside commercial and marketing teams to expand the key account portfolio and meet growth targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate customer insights and market trends to internal teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze and optimize business performance, focusing on conversion rates, margins, and management of brokers/distributors.
- Brand Promotion: Enhance our brand visibility through active participation in industry trade shows and events.
- P&L Responsibility: Potentially oversee the P&L for the foodservice and alternate channels.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sales/business development, with a minimum of 5 years in foodservice wholesale distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with foodservice brokers and distributors.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, essential for establishing trust-based relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the foodservice industry, particularly with national accounts.
- Experience in P&L management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting adaptability and independent work capabilities.
