Our client, the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a graphic design specialist to join their team.
Job Title: Graphic Design Specialist
Location: Austin, TX (Remote)
Pay Range: $30-$32/hr on W2
What’s the job?
Duties: design and/or create visual material for use in the organization’s advertisements, publications, brochures, posters, trade show panels, and other promotional materials under the guidance and creative direction of the digital transformation team, working on templates, work on Abbott brand
Shift Detail: part-time position, up to 20 hours per week (3 to 4 hours a day),
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in graphic design, knowledgeable of printing processes, 60% digital, 40% print. (No coding involved
Key Skills: Advanced user of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; organization and time-management skills; ability to work in fast-paced environment, attention to detail
Preferred Experience: Adobe Creative Suite programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Please add portfolio if they have it.
Education: Associates degree in graphic design, visual communications, multimedia or related field
Location: Can be remote, but if in Austin or Plano, we can provide desk space.
What You’ll Work On
- Design engaging promotional materials, including brochures, posters, social, web, and other digital and print tactics in accordance to Abbott’s brand standards
- Audit marketing materials to ensure brand compliance
- Partner with senior marketing communications specialist and cross-functional partners for creative direction and briefing
- Maintain brand identity on all collateral produced.
- Proofread and approve artwork.
- Stay current on print standards, web publishing applications, and best practices related to print and digital collateral in regulated industries
Required Qualifications
We’re excited about you if you have:
- Associates degree in graphic design, visual communications, multimedia or related field
- 4+ years of experience in graphic design
- Advanced skillset and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of printing processes
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate skillset and experience with the following Adobe Creative Suite programs: Premiere, After Effects, Animate, Dimension
