The Senior Brand Marketing Director is a full-time position reporting directly to the CEO & COO. This role leads the brand marketing department and oversees all brand marketing activities. The Sr. Brand Marketing Director works in close collaboration with the Sr. Creative Director to manage each Brand’s Creative and Marketing Planning, as well as the daily Brand and Team Management. We believe in the innovation and creative symbiosis found when creative and strategy combine to elevate brand to new levels via first class creative output.
We are looking for a Brand Marketing Director with strong strategic, management and creative skill and talent, who understands the importance of balancing Art and Commerce within brand management. This role will be pivotal in shaping the marketing and communication strategies for our brands, ensuring they stay aligned with company objectives and market developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer-facing fashion brand marketing, particularly within the high-end consumer goods sector, and will possess excellent organizational, communication, and team management skills.
The candidate will have their finger on the pulse of fashion, design, art, and music, and a strong ability to carve out brand opportunity in noisy markets. They have a passion for creative brand marketing and are in touch with the cultural undercurrents that move conversations in society. The ideal candidate has experience in managing multi-channel brand projects and driving brand awareness. They are a team-player with a strong understanding of what is required in the day to day management of a multi-pronged team that runs production, social media, PR, design, collaborations with external brands and individuals, and branded market events and initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Brand Strategy and Oversight
- Develop and implement brand marketing strategies that align with overall goals and drive brand exposure and market growth.
- Oversee the brand planning process inclusive of the definition of target consumers, developing of communication strategies and defining the optimal marketing mix in order to encourage increased purchase.
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Creative Director to ensure cohesive and consistent brand strategies, projections and executions across both JBW and BREDA.
- Develops monthly/quarterly/annual brand marketing strategies and monitors the performance of those strategies in order to make adjustments as needed to maintain brand relevance and competitiveness.
Campaign Development and Execution
- Lead the creation and execution of integrated brand marketing campaigns, including digital (in collaboration with Sr. E-comm Dir.), social media, PR, and traditional advertising.
- Ensure all brand marketing activities and materials deliver a consistent brand message and drive growth results, based on each campaign’s goals
- Direct social media strategies that communicate each brand’s message creatively, engages audiences and drives customer interaction
Collaboration and Communication
- Act as a key liaison for marketing and creative teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration amongst all
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cross-organizational brand alignment and support towards company objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, agencies, and influencers to enhance brand visibility and reach
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external partners (such as PR agencies and collaborators), enabling strong working relationships
Team and Process Management
- Define the department vision and instill it in all levels of the brand marketing department to make up the working culture
- Develop and optimize internal marketing processes
- Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance, work satisfaction, and professional growth
- Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and ROI
Consumer Insights & Reporting
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer insights to inform brand marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth and exposure
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep the brands innovative and forward-thinking
- Manage the forecast and reporting of revenue and other business goals through transparent weekly/monthly/annual reporting to the CEO & COO and relevant stakeholders on the performance of brand marketing initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in brand marketing within the fashion or high-end consumer goods industry
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns to drive revenue growth
- Strong experience in managing multiple brands simultaneously is highly desirable.
- A balanced approach with both creative and strategic thinking.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid team management skills, with experience in leading and developing a high-performing brand marketing team.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to help drive decision-making.
