Human Resource Assistant (US Operations)
Location: 100% Remote
Schedule: Monday-Friday, PST
We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Remote US HR Assistant with at least 2 years of dedicated US HR policy experience. Because our workforce is diverse and fast-paced, we highly prefer a bilingual candidate (English/Spanish) who can communicate seamlessly across our entire team.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our remote HR operations - managing digital onboarding, enforcing compliance, and handling field staff screening. Since this is a work-from-home position, you must be a self-starter who is highly tech-savvy and capable of maintaining flawless data privacy from a remote office.
Key Responsibilities
- US Policy & Compliance: Ensure daily HR practices strictly align with US Federal guidelines (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and state-specific mandates (with a heavy emphasis on California labor compliance, wage/hour rules, and rest break laws).
- Bilingual Communication: Serve as a trusted point of contact for both English and Spanish-speaking team members regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries.
- Remote Onboarding & Screening: Manage the full digital onboarding pipeline for incoming technicians and office staff. Coordinate mandatory background checks, drug screenings, and electronic Form I-9 verifications.
- Time Tracking & Labor Compliance: Review and audit remote/field time-tracking tools to ensure compliance with local overtime laws and break requirements before sending data to payroll.
- HRIS Maintenance: Own the accuracy of employee data, electronic personnel folders, policy sign-offs, and certification tracking.
- PST Availability: Must be available to work during Pacific Standard Time business hours
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: A hard minimum of 2 years of direct, hands-on experience managing US HR administrative and policy functions (Required).
- Language: Fluency in English is required; Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Policy Expertise: Strong, working knowledge of US federal labor laws and multi-state compliance (California experience is a major plus).
- People-First Mentality: Ability to manage complex human emotions and workplace dynamics with a proactive attitude.
- Remote Setup: Must have a dedicated, quiet home office space with high-speed internet and a proven ability to work productively without direct supervision.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience ($10-$12/hr).
- Flexibility: Work from the comfort of your home.
- Stability: Long-term, consistent hours in a growing company.
- Impact: You won't just be a cog in the machine; you'll be shaping our company culture.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,539.30 - $33,000.00 per month
