Our client in the Food and Beverage industry is hiring a Social Media Manager!
Role Overview
We’re looking for a highly creative, extremely online Social Media Manager to own our organic social end-to-end. This is not a “schedule posts” role. You will concept, create, and ship content constantly. You’ll work closely with the founder to turn ideas into content quickly, test aggressively, and double down on what works.
You’ll also build a network of UGC creators and influencers to help us scale content and unlock paid (whitelisting) performance. If you love making content, spotting trends early, and turning brands into cultural moments, this role is for you.
What You’ll Own
1. Content Engine (Core of the Role)
- Own the content calendar and posting cadence across TikTok, Instagram (Reels + Stories), and emerging platforms
- Concept and produce high-volume, high-quality short-form video content
- Turn trends, memes, and cultural moments into brand-relevant content quickly
- Work directly with the founder to capture content (scrappy, real, not overproduced)
- Iterate fast—test hooks, formats, and ideas constantly
2. Creative Direction & Brand Voice
- Help define what our brand feels like on social
- Develop repeatable content formats/series
- Ensure everything feels native to platform, not like an ad
- Balance performance-driven content with brand-building storytelling
3. UGC Creator Pipeline
- Source, outreach, and manage a roster of UGC creators
- Build a repeatable system for generating consistent creator content
- Write clear briefs and give feedback to improve output
- Secure usage rights for organic + paid
4. Influencer + Whitelisting Support
- Identify and vet creators for deeper partnerships
- Manage relationships and content delivery
- Support whitelisting efforts (creator ads run through their handles)
- Partner with paid team/founder to identify winning creatives
5. Performance & Iteration
- Track what’s working (views, watch time, saves, shares, conversions)
- Use data to inform creative decisions—not just gut
- Bring weekly insights + new ideas to the table
- Stay ahead of trends, formats, and platform changes
Who You Are
- ~5 years experience in social, content, or digital marketing (ideally with a consumer brand)
- You’ve grown or significantly contributed to a brand account (bonus if TikTok-first)
- You’re a creator first, marketer second
- You can shoot and edit content yourself (iPhone + CapCut is fine—we care about ideas)
- You are deeply tapped into internet culture and trends
- You move fast and don’t wait for perfect—done > perfect
- You’re comfortable working closely with a founder and giving/receiving direct feedback
- You’re scrappy, proactive, and excited to build something from the ground up
Nice to Have
- Experience in food, beverage, or CPG
- Experience managing UGC programs at scale
- Familiarity with Meta/TikTok ads and whitelisting
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, etc.)
