HVAC Salesperson
Overview
The HVAC Salesperson is responsible for generating new residential and light‐commercial sales, building long‐term customer relationships, and representing the company with professionalism and integrity. This role combines technical understanding, customer service, and consultative selling to help customers choose the right heating, cooling, and indoor‐air‐quality solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC sales, home‐services sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, customer‐friendly language.
- Self‐motivated with strong follow‐through and time‐management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems or willingness to learn through company training.
- Comfortable working in homes, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in‐home or on‐site sales appointments to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate HVAC systems, repairs, or upgrades.
- Prepare and present proposals, including equipment options, pricing, financing, and warranties.
- Follow up on leads from the office, marketing campaigns, service technicians, and customer referrals.
- Generate self-sourced leads through networking, community involvement, and relationship building.
- Educate customers on system features, energy efficiency, rebates, and long‐term cost savings.
