Job DescriptionThe Seeds Investment Team is responsible for the design, implementation, and messaging of investment solutions that enable financial advisors to deliver customized and tax efficient portfolios to their clients. As the director of investment strategy, you will work with the broader investments and marketing teams to support all advisor-facing investment related activities such as content creation, presenting on investment topics, and writing blogs and research papers. The role will also work closely with client success to craft investment responses and engage in thought leadership that help address advisor needs on the Seeds platform. As the senior leader of this outward-facing group you will serve as a key advocate for Seeds’ investment philosophy and solutions, develop talent within the team, own client outcomes, and provide compelling thought leadership.
Contributions You’ll Make:- Partner with sales and client success to drive new business and expand wallet share through strategic investment education
- Build and oversee cross-functional processes to improve the speed and quality of all investment responses to advisor questions platform wide
- Serve as a primary investment strategist for the wealth management community, translating complex market ideas and trends into actionable advisor guidance
- Strategic expertise in diagnosing and resolving critical investment bottlenecks by uncovering the “question behind the question” to drive clarity and execution
- Continuously expand your understanding of markets, products, and regulations, disseminating that learning across the organization
- Develop internal talent by coaching seniors, building succession, and leveling up overall team performance
Successful Candidates Will Have:- 8+ years of wealth advisor-facing experience within the investment team of an asset or wealth management firm
- B.S. in Finance, Economics, or Engineering
- Extensive expertise speaking and/or writing about a wide range of investment topics such as indexing, factor investing, and ESG across equities and fixed income asset classes
- Passion for producing investment content centered around personalization - the intersection of technology and finance
- Strong desire to innovate creatively and think beyond traditional wealth industry constructs
- Potential to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing investment team
- Series 7, 63, CFA, or other industry related certifications are a plus, but not required
Compensation and Benefits- Base Salary + Annual Bonus and Equity: A competitive compensation package that includes compensation in the $175,000 - $200,000 range plus equity options.
