Job Title: Customer Support Specialist
Duration: 6 + Months Temp to hire
Pay Range: $26 - 28 /hr - Temp to hire
Location: Remote
Position Overview
We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist to provide high-quality administrative and customer service support for group insurance clients. This role partners closely with account management, client service, brokerage partners, and internal service teams to ensure smooth day-to-day account operations, issue resolution, and an excellent client experience.
This is a remote role (Eastern Time hours: 8 AM – 5 PM).
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Support
- Serve as a primary service contact for assigned client accounts under leadership guidance
- Respond to inquiries from brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders with accuracy and timeliness
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve routine account and service-related issues
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams when needed
- Collaborate with account managers and service consultants to ensure seamless client support
Account Administration
- Manage daily administrative tasks for multiple client accounts
- Support updates related to billing, eligibility, plan changes, and benefits inquiries
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation across internal systems
- Assist with audits, reporting requests, and standard deliverables
- Prepare and coordinate broker agreements and related documentation for processing
- Support coordination of commission-related processes with internal teams
Collaboration & Coordination
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support account strategy and service delivery
- Participate in client calls and meetings as required
- Prepare and maintain client summaries, documentation, and service materials
Implementation & Process Support
- Assist with onboarding and implementation of new clients and plan updates
- Follow established procedures, workflows, and service standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and share feedback with leadership
Professional Development
- Develop strong knowledge of group insurance products and service systems
- Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives
- Build independence and efficiency with experience
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, account support, insurance, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience working with clients, brokers, or internal stakeholders preferred
Preferred Experience
- Background in group benefits, insurance, or financial services
- Experience working with customer service systems and workflows
- Exposure to account administration or client servicing roles
