Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (Finance & Analytics)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis to support our finance operations and business decision-making. This role will play a critical part in translating financial data into actionable insights, ensuring high-quality reporting, and enabling leadership to make informed decisions.
The position is designed to provide coverage and enhanced analytical support during a key transition period, while also strengthening internal financial visibility and control.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly business performance reports across departments
- Analyze financial data including payroll, vendor payments, and operational costs
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making
Business Insights & Decision Support
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
- Present financial information in a structured and easy-to-understand format
- Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling
Accounting Oversight & Review
- Review and validate accounting outputs from external partners (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing)
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting
- Highlight discrepancies and areas requiring attention
Operational Finance Visibility
- Track departmental spend, time allocation, and resource utilization
- Monitor software costs, contractor payments, and vendor expenses
- Improve visibility into financial performance across business units
Process Improvement & Automation
- Leverage advanced Excel and AI-enabled tools to streamline reporting and analysis
- Enhance existing reporting frameworks for speed and accuracy
- Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and dashboards
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in business analysis, finance, or FP&A
- Background as a qualified accountant (CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent preferred)
- Experience working with external accounting firms or finance partners
Core Skills
- Strong expertise in Excel (advanced level required)
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to simplify complex data into business-friendly insights

- Strong interest in business analytics over pure accounting/bookkeeping
- Experience using AI tools or automation in financial analysis
