Ochsner Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the department while supporting managers and team members through a variety of tasks related to organization, communication, and documentation.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily administrative support to management and department staff
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate virtual appointments
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed
- Maintain and organize digital files and records
- Assist with data entry and database management
- Respond to emails and internal communications in a timely manner
- Coordinate projects and track deadlines
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Support additional administrative tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications;
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–3 years of administrative or office support experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or medical administration
- Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Slack
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
