About GoMotto
GoMotto is an AI-powered revenue operating system built for home service companies. We help roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and other trades businesses close more deals through real-time call scoring, AI-driven CSR coaching, geofenced field recording, automated follow-up, sales rep performance tracking, and executive dashboards. Our founding team has direct operator experience scaling a roofing company to $20M, so we build from real pain, not assumptions.
We have strong product-market signals, eight active partner agencies driving distribution, and growing inbound demand. What we don’t have yet is a dedicated sales leader to build the infrastructure and own the revenue engine. That’s you.
The Role
This is a ground-floor, build-it-from-scratch sales leadership role. You will own the entire sales function: strategy, process, infrastructure, hiring, partnerships, and yes, closing deals yourself in the early innings.
You’re not walking into a structured org with playbooks and a team waiting for direction. You’re walking into a company with real demand, real partners, and real product, but no formalized sales machine. Your job is to build that machine while also operating it.
What You’ll Own
Sales Infrastructure and Process
∙ Design and implement the full sales process from lead intake through close and handoff to onboarding
∙ Set up and optimize CRM workflows, pipeline stages, activity tracking, and reporting
∙ Create sales playbooks, objection-handling frameworks, and demo scripts
∙ Build and document the customer onboarding flow so it’s repeatable and scalable
Closing and Revenue
∙ Personally close early deals to build pipeline momentum and deeply understand the buyer journey
∙ Run product demos, manage prospect relationships, and drive contracts across the finish line
∙ Own revenue targets and forecasting from day one
Partnerships and Channel Development
∙ Manage and grow relationships with our existing eight partner agencies
∙ Develop partner enablement materials, co-selling motions, and compensation structures
∙ Source and sign new channel and technology partners to expand distribution
∙ Own the partner pipeline with the same rigor as the direct sales pipeline
Team Building and Org Design
∙ Define the ideal sales org structure as we scale (SDRs, AEs, partner managers, CS handoff)
∙ Hire, onboard, and ramp early sales team members
∙ Create the training and enablement programs that make new reps productive fast
∙ Build a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement
Who You Are
∙ You’ve built a B2B SaaS sales function before, ideally from early stage through initial scaling (seed to Series A/B environment)
∙ You have direct experience in home services, construction tech, or vertical SaaS selling to trades businesses (strongly preferred)
∙ You’ve personally carried a quota and closed six-figure deals, not just managed people who do
∙ You know how to set up a CRM properly, not just use one someone else configured
∙ You’ve managed or built channel/partner programs and understand indirect sales motions
∙ You’re comfortable being the only sales hire for a stretch and doing everything from outbound prospecting to contract negotiation to onboarding calls
∙ You move fast, communicate directly, and don’t need to be managed closely
∙ You’re energized by building from zero, not inheriting a playbook
