Job Title: Content & Social Media Director
Position Overview
A leading skincare brand is looking to hire a
Content & Social Media Director. The role will lead the brand’s global social media and content strategy, bringing the brands mission to life across all digital touchpoints. This role blends creativity, strategy, and data-driven insight to craft aspirational, trend-forward, and educational content that resonates deeply with our core audience of 25–35-year-old consumers.
You’ll oversee the ideation and execution of social-first storytelling that strengthens community, builds engagement, and drives brand love. As a key leader on the Content & Art team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Brand Marketing, and Communications, reporting directly to the VP of Content & Art.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Social & Content Strategy: Develop and execute an integrated content strategy across social, video, and emerging digital platforms that aligns with the brand vision and business goals.
- Creative Direction: Guide the creation of highly visual, aspirational, and trend-driven content that inspires and educates the modern skincare consumer.
- Trend Leadership: Maintain a strong pulse on cultural, social, and beauty trends, identifying opportunities for the brand to lead conversations and drive innovation across channels.
- Analytics & Optimization: Use data and insights to evaluate content performance, refine strategy, and optimize engagement and conversion across key metrics.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a Social Media Manager, fostering a collaborative, creative, and results-driven culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, and Product teams to ensure consistency in storytelling and elevate the brand’s presence.
- Influencer & Community Integration: Collaborate with influencer and community teams to amplify content through authentic voices and storytelling.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in social media and content strategy, ideally within beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- Proven track record of leading creative, aspirational, and high-performing social campaigns.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and content trends.
- Highly creative thinker with an analytical and strategic mindset.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing direct reports and cross-functional projects.
- Passion for beauty, skincare, and cultural storytelling.
Salary $150,000-$180,000
