Social Media Coordinator (Hospitality Focused)
Location: Remote
Type: Part-Time (15–20 hours/week) | Rate: $25/hour
Job Description
10and5 Creative is a growing creative agency dedicated to delivering high-impact visual storytelling and strategic brand growth for our hospitality clients. We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator who lives and breathes the hospitality space. You’ll be the voice and visual heartbeat of our hotel clients across Instagram and Facebook. This isn't just about posting—it’s about capturing the feeling of a luxury stay and turning it into a high-performing digital presence that drives real growth.
You’ll have the freedom to be creative and pitch big ideas, but you must be the closer who handles the execution, from the first draft of copy to the final scheduled post, the community management and tracking/reporting that follows.
What You’ll Do
- Creative Execution: Take raw ideas/assets and turn them into polished Reels, Stories, and Grid posts that fit the unique aesthetic of our diverse boutique hotel portfolio.
- Algorithm & Trend Mastery: You don't just follow trends; you know how to pivot them for hospitality. You’ll stay ahead of IG/FB algorithm shifts to ensure our properties maintain high visibility and engagement.
- Growth Strategy: Relate current social trends back to the specific vibe of each of our hotels to enhance follower growth and enhanced engagement.
- Copywriting: Write punchy, platform-specific captions that sound like a local expert—not a corporate brochure.
- Community Management: Monitor mentions and comments. You’ll be the person chatting with guests, answering FAQs, and building a vibe in the comments. You’ll also be engaging with like-minded brands and content creators to maximize awareness and reach.
- Logistics & Scheduling: Create and manage the monthly content calendars and ensure everything is queued up perfectly in our social media management software (we value organization as much as creativity).
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 0–2 years of experience managing social (current students with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply!).
- A Natural Copywriter: You understand the Social Voice. You can write captions that feel human, evocative, and conversational rather than corporate. You know how to use a single sentence to sell a vibe and can seamlessly switch between a playful rooftop bar voice and a sophisticated luxury spa tone.
- Communication: Sharp copywriting skills with an eye for grammar, tone of voice, and brand personality.
- Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating proficiency in content creation and copywriting.
- Trend-Savvy: You can identify a trending audio or format and immediately see how it applies to a sunset cocktail hour or a suite reveal.
- Execution-Obsessed: You don’t just have ideas; you have a checklist. You’re capable of working independently and meeting deadlines without being chased.
- Platform Native: Deep knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Reels editing, Metricool scheduling and reporting and engagement tactics that satisfy the ever-changing algorithm
- Understanding of or experience in the Travel and Hospitality sectors is an advantage
- Familiarity with analytics tools to measure content effectiveness
Why This Role?
- Flexible Schedule: Perfect for students or freelancers looking to anchor their week with consistent hours.
- Mentorship: You’ll see exactly how a creative agency operates from the inside out.
- Growth: While this starts as execution, there is room to learn the strategic side of the business as you master the workflow.
