Duties
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing support to drivers in need of help
- Diagnose vehicle problems using mechanical knowledge and tools, ensuring accurate assessments
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire changes, battery jumps, fluid top-ups, and lockouts
- Use hand tools, power tools, and an ohmmeter to troubleshoot electrical issues and repair vehicles effectively
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures during roadside interventions
- Document all service activities clearly and accurately for record-keeping purposes
- Assist with vehicle inspections and minor repairs to ensure roadworthiness before returning vehicles to service
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot common vehicle issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics
- Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire changes, fluid checks, and battery replacements
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude toward safety and problem-solving
- Basic understanding of electrical systems within vehicles is a plus
