Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Remote
Compensation: $15-$16
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Long term contract - 3/26-12/27
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as administrative support to the Finance department
- Communicate with insurance carriers via phone and email to verify policy information, documentation, and account details
- Accurately update and maintain data within the company’s proprietary system
- Generate, review, and maintain reports in Excel to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Perform intermediate Excel functions including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data reconciliation
- Assist with financial documentation, tracking, and internal recordkeeping
- Support reporting initiatives by compiling and organizing data for leadership review
- Complete various ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned
- Prioritize shifting requests and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required:
- 1–2 years of administrative experience OR industry experience in insurance (health insurance preferred)
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, formulas, data organization)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
- Must be able to work PST hours
Preferred:
- Experience in insurance or health insurance
- QuickBooks experience
- Experience supporting finance or accounting teams
