Financial Analyst
Location: This is a 100% remote role, but candidates MUST be based in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, Virginia, or New York
Travel Expectations: Approximately 80% remote / 20% travel
Overview
Our client is a privately held, growth-oriented hospitality organization with a portfolio of high-end resort properties. They are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex business challenges.
This role reports directly to the CFO and offers meaningful exposure to executive leadership, including the CEO, senior property leaders, and ownership. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in delivering financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving profitability across multiple resort locations.
The organization is currently investing in several major capital initiatives, including renovations, expansions, and new guest experience programs. This individual will partner closely with operations and an internal development team to evaluate financial assumptions, assess ROI, and support long-term value creation. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, labor cost analysis, cost of sales, profitability metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that improve asset performance and EBITDA.
- Collaborate with property and corporate teams to analyze operating results and develop actionable insights to enhance revenue and cost management.
- Assist with annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements.
- Conduct financial modeling and feasibility analysis for capital investments, renovations, and new development initiatives.
- Benchmark key performance indicators against industry standards and peer groups.
- Support year-end audits and other financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience, with at least 5 years in hospitality, real estate, or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of hotel or resort financial statements, balance sheets, and internal controls.
- Experience developing pro-formas, financial models, and strategic analysis.
- Ability to evaluate operational performance and translate financial data into clear business recommendations.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with executives and operational leaders.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
- Experience with hospitality accounting and reporting systems preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including periodic on-site support at property locations.
