Job Overview
The National Sales Director – Canada develops and mentors a team of Solutions Consultants and Business Development Managers for our Canadian portfolio. This person is highly communicative and is mission driven to motivate others to accomplish growth goals for LineDrive, our manufacturers, and distributor partners.

What It Takes To Be a Successful Sales Director
- Talent Management:
- Manage Solutions Consultants and Business Development Managers
- Responsible for building a talent bench for region, hiring top talent and retaining top performers
- Collaborate on the execution of making fair and competitive employment offers
- Participate in new hire orientation and lead the 6-month onboarding plan including checkpoints to ensure trainings are completed on a timely basis
- Facilitate performance reviews, career planning and team training for region
- Hold team accountable to position expectations and coach to performance issues
- Document performance hits and misses in Traction
- Complete one year evaluation form with Collaboration Director to ensure new hires are “Zertified”
- Region Sales Performance:
- Manage and coach team on monthly cadence reviews, targeting performance around pipeline, TOP opportunities, travel cycle, administrative duties within SFDC, expenses, and meeting manufacturer KPI’s goals
- Behavioral expectations to meet POS Growth targets
- Drive LineDrive initiatives
- Evangelize distribution
- Ensure team collaborates with internal resources: ISS, BDM, etc.
- Collaborate with other Sales Directors to drive engagement and improve performance
- Culture and Engagement:
- Responsible for planning and executing an after-hours engagement on every Solutions Consultant visit
- Encourage work life balance through your own actions
- Celebrate wins during each regional call
- CRM & Traction:
- Hold team accountable and responsible for their individual CRM & Traction responsibilities
- Report to the VP, Sales regarding direct reports’ monthly leading and lagging measurables
- Responsible for meeting with one key distributor manager per Solutions Consultant visit
- Manufacturer & Distributor Relationship Management:
- Lead the Canadian manufacturing portfolio
- Manage major distributors (e.g., Acklands).
- Ownership of cultivating relationships with strategic leaders at clients throughout region
- Address distributor and manufacturer related issues
- Direct team on opportunities in their territory that they may not be aware of
- Manufacturer Business Development:
- Collaborate with Key Accounts team to drive greater business development
- Regularly discuss opportunities with key decision makers at accounts
- Agent of LineDrive:
- Support the department and company’s goals and initiatives
- Remain ethical, honest, and respectful of others at all times

- Proactively communicate concerns to prompt timely issue resolution

What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bilingual French preferred
- Current Sr Solutions Consultant with a combined score of 100% or higher on Performance Appraisal in the prior year OR 5-10 years MRO Industrial Supply sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role required
- Must be within the top quartile of sales as a Solutions Consultant
- Proficient using PipeLineDeals or similar CRM
- Familiar with SIC codes and the markets associated with them (Research)
- Experienced in building compelling stories to influence stakeholders or other team members (Creativity)
- Ability to create the “why on the fly” to position the right differentiator at the right moment to the right decision maker (Constantly Prepared and Aware)
- Consistent execution of Scorecard metrics
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and think outside the box in a constructive positive manner
- Must possess high energy and drive with a real desire to ensure a win-win outcome
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Flexible when priorities shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers
- Significant closed sales initiated through positive relationships with key distributor and/or manufacturer reps
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position supervises 6-7 employees
Technical Requirements – 10 Mpbs
- Minimum home internet speed of 10Mpbs – in other words, you have no problem streaming HD content at home.

Work Environment
This position works remotely and generally works on the go, in a hotel, at an end user facility or from a home office.
