Pay: 70,000 to 90,000

Position Overview
The CAAS Supervisor will oversee Accounting Specialists and manage the delivery of core accounting services within the Client Advisory & Accounting Services department. This role ensures accurate and timely financial statements while maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures. The Supervisor will manage multiple staff members and support a wide range of accounting activities, including:
- General ledger preparation
- Financial reporting
- Year-end audit and tax support
- Budgeting and forecasting
Regular interaction with clients and their tax advisors or other professional service providers is a key component of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in planning meetings with the CAAS Accounting Manager to explain audit preparation and accounting processes.
- Oversee day-to-day financial reporting accuracy and timely processing of client information.
- Delegate responsibilities to ensure client accounting personnel contribute effectively to audit preparation and engagement workflow.
- Supervise and collaborate with team members to ensure proper export of documents and reports (trial balances, chart of accounts, general ledger details, subsidiary ledgers, etc.).
- Oversee import of electronically received reports into accounting and analytical software systems.
- Provide training, development, and guidance to Accounting Specialists.
- Ensure preparation of accurate general ledger account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Assist clients in preparing additional reports or schedules as needed.
- Manage workload prioritization, quality review, and training of new and existing staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in audit preparation and/or bookkeeping/accounting services.
- Experience supervising staff and managing accounting service projects.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Professional experience in a client service environment (preferred).
