Duties
- Diagnose appliance malfunctions using schematics, technical manuals, and hands-on inspection techniques
- Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems
- Utilize electrical knowledge and mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues
- Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to accurately identify repair needs
- Conduct appliance assembly, installation, and maintenance in customers’ homes or commercial settings
- Operate a box truck or similar delivery vehicle safely to transport parts or appliances as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction during every visit
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC units is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a service technician or in field service roles is preferred
- Customer service skills that foster trust and clear communication with clients
- Experience operating a box truck or similar delivery vehicle safely and efficiently
- Mechanical assembly skills for installing or replacing appliances and equipment
- Strong electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues effectively
- Familiarity with equipment repair processes across various household appliances
