Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Repair Manager to oversee daily operations in our automotive service center. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team leadership. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining high standards of vehicle maintenance and repair. The Auto Repair Manager will also coordinate with clients to deliver exceptional service while ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the automotive repair team, including technicians and mechanics
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across various systems such as powertrain, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality benchmarks, including ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, and auto body work
- Review schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Manage workflow to maximize productivity while minimizing downtime
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts used, and service reports
- Train and mentor staff on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques
- Communicate with customers regarding repair status, estimates, and recommendations for vehicle maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair management
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Hands-on experience with ADAS systems calibration, wheel alignment, welding, and auto body repair
- Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools for automotive troubleshooting
- Familiarity with GM vehicles and diesel engine repair is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive service equipment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive electrical systems and maintenance practices is essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,899.18 - $67,319.44 per year
