Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Controller based in Florida. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Daily tasks include managing accounting records, coordinating audits, analyzing financial data, payables and developing budgets. The Controller will also work closely with executive management and the Director of Finance to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Oversight: Manage general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Treasury & Cash Flow: Oversee multi-million-dollar cash flows, ensure liquidity planning, and optimize idle cash.
- Account Payable Management: Oversee vendor payments including ACH, Wire Transfers, etc. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payables.
- Team Supervision: Manage a lean finance team with both domestic and international contributors.
- Controls & Process Improvement: Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Reporting: Deliver accurate, timely, and strategic financial reports to executive leadership.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure financial practices meet GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Support: Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and major initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Experience with Expertise in Financial Management, Budgeting, and Accounting
- Deep Technological Proficiency of Financial Platforms, Banking Platforms & CRMs
- Proficiency in Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Experience in Regulatory Compliance and Auditing
- Strong skills in Data Analysis and Strategic Planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Experience in managing financial operations within a large organization
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred
- Previous Experience with Public Accounting Firm preferred
