Position Overview:
The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across the fleet. The DOM will establish maintenance programs, manage personnel, and collaborate cross-functionally to support operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s maintenance and inspection programs in compliance with FAA Part 121, as applicable.
- Ensure all maintenance operations meet FAA, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and company standards.
- Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, vendors, and contracted maintenance facilities.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Manage maintenance budgets, cost control, and parts procurement.
- Ensure all Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other regulatory requirements are incorporated as required.
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Chief Inspector to ensure aircraft availability and readiness.
- Lead internal audits, quality control initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA, manufacturers, and maintenance providers.
- Develop training programs and maintain currency for maintenance staff and technicians.
- Support fleet growth and modification projects, including new aircraft acquisitions and upgrades.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
- Minimum 8–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management or related field preferred.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) certification prepreferr
- Deep knowledge of FAA Part 121 operations, aircraft inspection programs, and quality assurance systems.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CAMP, Traxxall, Flightdocs).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and build effective maintenance programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, diversity, and operational excellence.
- Experience in startup or growth-phase aviation environments, preferred.
