Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Steam Boiler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in steam generation systems, boiler operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This individual will play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all steam and hot water systems across our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, auxiliary equipment, and related control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and combustion issues in steam and hot water systems.
- Conduct efficiency and safety tests, including combustion analysis and burner tuning.
- Oversee boiler startups, shutdowns, and periodic safety inspections.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations (ASME, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians and coordinate with contractors or vendors as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and service reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase system efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Education: OEM training from a major Manufacture
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with industrial steam boilers, including maintenance and repair.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid boiler operator’s license (State-issued, where applicable).
- ASME or National Board certifications preferred.
- EPA Refrigeration Certification (a plus).
- Strong knowledge of combustion systems, pumps, valves, piping, and water treatment processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance best practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform work in confined spaces, heights, and hot environments.
- Must be available for on-call rotations, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
