This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Academic Advising Center, working closely with the director team to coordinate purchasing, travel arrangements, and a variety of administrative needs. The role also provides occasional support to our front office, assisting with phones and reception coverage to ensure a welcoming environment for students and visitors. Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience in an administrative office function (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
- This position requires weekend availability, as frequent as 7 weekends per semester.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in a related capacity is desirable.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of and insight into the University’s and Academic Advising Center’s vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; demonstrates basic ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to a variety of situations.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of University policies and processes related to purchasing and travel arrangements.

Work Modality: This position is primarily on-campus but may be eligible for some flexibility and remote work (i.e., over academic calendar break times and ad hoc) in alignment with dept policies and practices. All remote work must be performed at a location within the state of Iowa and comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location Work arrangement options will be discussed during the hiring process and are subject to change for training, programming, peak periods, and performance.
Anticipated Hiring Salary: $42,000 - This position includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
