Why Join Us:
Planned With is a full-service event design and production agency redefining how Houston and Austin experience events. Our Texas-based team of visionaries, makers, and storytellers moves beyond logistics to plan and design immersive events and brand worlds. Through strategy and production, experience design, and cultural insight, we craft bold, sensory-rich moments that spark connection and leave a lasting memory.
From intimate gatherings to large-scale brand activations, our work pushes boundaries, blends beauty with meaning, and transforms ideas into unforgettable experiences.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Houston-based freelance Graphic Designer & Content Manager to help us visually express our events and brand story across digital and physical touchpoints. You’ll create graphic design assets for client events and social campaigns while shaping how Planned With shows up online — from Instagram reels and posts to brand decks and printed signage.
This role is part creative production, part storytelling, and ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, branding, and digital strategy.
Time & Location:
- Freelance / Part-time: typically 5 hours per week, on a project by project basis, with occasional event-day support
- Hybrid role: remote work with in-person time in Houston and occasional travel to Austin for content capture, site visits, or installations
What You’ll Do:
Graphic Design
- Design branded assets for events, activations, and internal projects — from signage and menus to digital decks and social templates
- Develop cohesive visual systems for event identities (logos, typography, color, layout, and mood direction)
- Build production-ready print files with correct bleeds, dielines, and outlined fonts for large-format fabrication and printing
- Collaborate with vendors and fabricators to ensure accurate color, scale, and material translation
- Support photo/video teams with design overlays, branded templates, and visual consistency
Content Management Management
- Concept and design monthly content calendars for Planned With’s social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Create and edit posts, stories, and reels aligned with our brand tone and seasonal campaigns
- Write engaging captions and assist with community engagement (DMs, comments, story tags)
- Track performance metrics and engagement trends to refine content direction
- Coordinate with event teams to capture live content, behind-the-scenes, and recaps
- Manage asset organization and content delivery to the internal team and creative partners
What You Bring
- 3–6+ years of experience in graphic design, social media, or creative content production
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling across digital and physical mediums
- Expert in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Canva; video editing skills in Premiere Pro or CapCut a plus
- Strong knowledge of social media trends, analytics, and best practices for event-driven and lifestyle brands
- Experience prepping print-ready files and collaborating with printers/fabricators
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- A self-starter attitude with attention to detail and a love for beautiful, elevated brand worlds
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience shooting or editing short-form video content
- Familiarity with Figma or simple motion design (After Effects, Lottie, etc.)
- Comfort being on-site during events for live content capture
- Understanding of branding and tone for both luxury and lifestyle audiences
Logistics & Compensation
- Freelance, hourly; rate commensurate with experience and scope
- Flexible remote work with scheduled virtual meetings and in-person shoots
- Workload varies by project cycle; occasional evenings/weekends during event periods
- You invoice Planned With directly; approved reimbursables (e.g., content tools, printing) are covered with receipts
