The Senior Staff Accounting position at McAda Drilling Fluids is a critical role that requires proven expertise in the field, excellent organizational skills, and the drive to ensure the financial health of our organization. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that includes managing daily operations of the accounting department, preparing financial reports, completing internal audits, and maintaining the annual budget.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Completing internal audits on a regular basis to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Administering payroll and benefits for McAda Drilling Fluids employees, ensuring all totals are accurate.
- Managing company’s tax filings and maintaining accurate records to ensure organized and timely submissions.
- Overseeing and aiding junior staff in their responsibilities, offering mentorship and assessing their performance.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field with a CPA qualification or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial reporting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Outstanding mathematical skills and detailed orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
