Job Summary
The Global Facilities Manager drives the implementation, development and training of in-house facilities and maintenance systems. This position will also have responsibilities to ensure FLS systems (CMMS software) are current and while supporting team members as needed to maintain the required FLS compliance standards.
Primary Functions:
- Primarily responsible for managing and assisting team members across the enterprise with implementing and managing CMMS in compliance with NFPA guidelines.
- Conducting internal and external compliance audits.
- Participates in various projects, adheres to set budget guidelines.
- Provides direction to identify the purchasing and installation of facility equipment.
- Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills to develop Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Supports all maintenance standards within the enterprise to ensure a safe and secure working environment for all team members.
- Develop policies, procedures, standards, and strategies as it relates to facilities.
Secondary Functions:
- Participate in safety and security discussions to support all team members and their operational needs in all locations.
- Project Management and Metric Management
- Travel between facilities when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Participate in safety meetings sharing metrics and reports developed to improve performance in all markets.
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Five years’ facilities management experience or maintenance management required.
- Mechanical experience a plus.
- Good Computer/Analytical skills
- Experience with national/global teams preferred.
- Design software experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must understand OSHA rules and regulations.
- Experience with NFPA a plus.
- Must possess basic knowledge of trade skills (carpentry, mechanical, electrical).
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills are required.
- Understands performance procedures on a wide variety of repairs, modifications and
- Preventative maintenance on building and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Able to lead effectively in a team environment composed of both technical and management personnel to resolve issues quickly and economically.
- Working knowledge of facility maintenance systems
- Efficient online collaboration skills
- Development of standards and procedures.
