Job Description:
What are the 3-5 primary specific duties/responsibilities on a daily basis for this role
- Preparing agendas for the 4 monthly Intellectual Property (“IP”) committee meetings. Preparing the agenda includes data gathering from Anaqua, ***’s IP Management tool, and other sources.
- Effecting the decisions made at the IP Committee meetings. This includes updating and creating new matters in Anaqua, opening matters in Ascent, ***’s legal billing tool, and instructing outside counsel and other service providers (e.g., patent annuity and trademark renewal service providers).
- Typical IP docketing tasks, including updating existing matters and opening new matters as needed (e.g. divisional patent applications) .
- Miscellaneous activities, including inventor award processing, monthly archiving of Anaqua matters, quarterly deactivation of former employees from Anaqua, tracking metrics, and archiving of patent grant certificates.

The candidate and the Assistant General Counsel, IP and Aerospace & Defense are the only personnel in the IP group.
However, we interact frequently with other members of the Legal Department (attorneys and paralegals) .
What are some must haves on a resume that would stand out from candidates
Candidate must have experience with and capable of independently working with Anaqua, the Intellectual Property management tool used by ***. Ideally, the candidate has experience with Anaqua in a corporate role (as opposed to experience on the law firm side).
