Job Summary:
We are looking for a versatile and creative professional to join our team as a Web Designer & Content Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and briefing updates and enhancements to our websites. While you don’t need to be a developer, you should have a strong grasp of design principles, UX/UI best practices, and the ability to translate ideas into actionable briefs for developers. Excellent copywriting skills are essential, as you will also craft engaging and user-focused content.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand website needs, goals, and priorities.
- Design visually appealing and user-friendly web pages, layouts, and elements that align with brand guidelines.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Develop clear and detailed briefs for developers, outlining requirements for web updates, new features, and functionality.
- Write and edit compelling, SEO-friendly copy for web pages, ensuring alignment with tone and brand voice.
- Conduct usability testing and analyze user feedback to make data-driven design improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest web design and UX trends to ensure the site remains modern and effective.
- Collaborate with developers, marketers, and other team members to implement and evaluate web changes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in this kind of role
- Proven experience in responsive web design, content creation, or a related field.
- Strong copywriting skills with an ability to create engaging, user-focused content.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch or at minimum - Canva and Figma.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and how they influence user behavior.
- Familiarity with web technologies and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace) is a plus but not absolutely necessary as we do have several custom sites.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to technical and non-technical teams.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for professional beauty, fashion, pop culture and social media is a plus!
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web technologies.
- Experience conducting A/B testing or using analytics tools to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with Hubspot’s marketing capabilities (forms, embeds, popup’s, etc.)
- Familiarity with web technologies and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) is a plus but not absolutely necessary as we do have several custom sites.
