Blackberg Group is seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer to support a federal client in creative needs for strategic communications programs related to veterans and medical media. This individual may participate in both client-facing and internal meetings to discuss graphical representations of key project information, supplement written communications products, and consult clientele on the best creative direction. Remote work opportunity is available.
Responsibilities
· Develop creative graphics and data visualizations for client deliverables, ranging from simple flyers to a complex multi-page Annual Report. Additional materials include flyers, brochures, posters, stickers, folders, vehicle wraps, social media posts, buttons, newsletters, templates, and other projects as requested.
· Support brand refinement and management for client, selecting photos, art and other cohesive elements as needed.
· Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and schedule timeframes, delivering products within a 5-10 day turnaround.
· Ability to maintain strict adherence to the provided government brand style guide.
· Maintain a consistent file structure so that the files may be easily updated.
· Manage, track, and report all phases of projects
· Deliver final design products as 508 compliant and packaged with fonts, all source material, and original layout files
Qualifications
· 5+ years of demonstrated experience in graphic design and visual/digital communications
· Demonstrated experience in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator
· Preferred experience supporting federal government clientele
· Preferred knowledge of and experience in Section 508 compliance / accessibility standards
· Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
