This is an unpaid internship for a trial period, designed to assess fit and collaboration within our team. We are seeking a talented, creative, and driven Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager to join our team. This dual-role offers the unique opportunity to shape Beauty and Brains’ visual identity while driving our social media strategy to inspire and connect with our community.
What You'll Do:
As a Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager, you will:
1) Graphic Design:
- Create visually compelling and on-brand graphics for social media, event promotions, and digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure brand consistency across all visual assets.
2) Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute creative strategies to grow Beauty and Brains’ social media presence on platforms like Instagram, Etsy, Pinterest, and TikTok/Youtube.
- Manage the content calendar, posting schedule, and community engagement.
- Analyze performance metrics and use insights to optimize strategies.
3) Collaborative Engagement:
- Work closely with the team to brainstorm and execute innovative campaigns that resonate with our audience.
- Occasionally attend in-person networking and bonding events to capture content and connect with the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Someone genuinely fascinated by and passionate about social media, brand image, and aesthetics.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, analytics, and engagement strategies.
- Chicago-based and available for occasional in-person events.
- Passion for Beauty and Brains’ mission and a strong sense of sisterhood.
- A creative, innovative thinker who is eager to grow with the team and contribute to our brand’s evolution.
