About the Role:
This role is apart of a new team in JFS that supports our growing mission to help save struggling rural healthcare across the nation. We are looking for an Accounting Associate with strong accounting (basic and advanced), Client management experience in various industries including healthcare and someone who shares in our mission to help critical access Healthcare organizations stay open and profitable.
High Level Overview of Responsibilities:
- Account Managing Hospital and Healthcare industry client projects
- Basic and Advanced Accounting Responsibilities: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Bookkeeping, Communicating with clients regarding items needed for proper financial reporting, Bookkeeping Clean-up
- CFO and Tax Team Accounting Support: Leads or delegates tasks to the team to support other teams with Accounting tasks
- Special Project Accounting Support: Leads or delegates special projects depending on complexity and bandwidth of team. These projects include but are not limited to: Conducting Accounting related trainings to clients, Books Analysis and Discovery projects, Cashflow (Profit First) Planning, etc
- Month End Support, Bookkeeping Review, Special reporting requirements as they arise
- Data Analytics and running reports in various systems

Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 Years of Accounting in Various Industries, CPA or Hospital experience strongly preferred
- Strong Customer Service experience required
- QBO and QBD, a plus
- Experience with Project Management Software( such as Asana, Notion, Monday, ClickUp) a strong plus
- 2 years experience working remotely strongly preferred
- Strong technical aptitude, able to jump into new systems accounting and tech systems with ease
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000-$75,000 commiserate with experience level
Expected hours: 40 per week. Due to the nature of our business, and urgency of our clients' needs, you may be required to work additional hours, evenings and/or weekends.
