We are looking for a special Accounting Superstar to come join our team!
- Someone that is skilled in both the day to day accounting (AR, AP, Project Creation) as well as the bigger picture accounting (month/year end, budgeting, tax preparation, etc.)
- This person needs to be willing to perform all levels of Accounting responsibilities (not just the high level accounting).
- Someone very comfortable with learning and working in multiple platforms and systems.
- Someone comfortable with managing accounting that is more hands on (this accounting is not necessarily easy to automate)
- Someone who has experience managing all parts of the Accounting for another organization
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Must be able to work well from home
- Our Accounting is complicated, so looking for someone that is a quick learner
- We are also ideally looking for a long term fit (someone looking to set down roots at an organization)
- Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start in the next 2-3 weeks

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years experience with accounting, 6+ years general work/business experience
- Education in Accounting or Business related field
- Experience working with Core (a BQE product) a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new programs easily
- Ability to keep track of and meet deadlines
- Eye for detail
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Strong communicator
- Team player
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all things Accounting, including but not limited to:
- Post daily accounting activities within Accounting System
- Create and post invoices in project management system
- Set-up new projects in Company Project Management System
- Accounts Payable – post vendor invoices and payments
- Enter credit card transactions into accounting system.
- Follow up with Program Managers on outstanding Accounts receivables
- Process checks, wires, and bank deposits
- Manage month end account closing and monthly financial prep
- Verify, track and record employee expenses on a job specific basis
- Track/provide reports on job profitability
- Manage the preparation, distribution and reporting for Bi-Weekly Payroll (working with a 3rd party payroll company), including payment to 401K plans
- Manage the Accounting Relationships with our overseas subsidiaries
- Create the company budget and keep in maintained
- Prepare all necessary items for outside CPA Firm
- Support COO on some HR, insurance related items

- The company is an international company with Employees worldwide. Therefore occasional meetings outside of typical business hours will be required.
