Job Description: Social Media Manager, The Hair Edit.
Role reporting into CMO. One direct report.
Overview:
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our efforts on Instagram and TikTok. This role will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these platforms and a passion for creating compelling content that resonates with our audience.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across social media platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.) to increase brand visibility, followers and engagement.
- Refine The Hair Edit’s brand voice and aesthetic
- Create and curate high-quality, engaging content (posts, stories, reels, videos) that aligns with the brand voice.
- Test different types of content to optimize performance including Q&A, polls, contests, giveaways etc…
- Develop and execute social strategies for all major product launches
- Create original content that personifies the brand, bringing it to life and adding incarnation to The Hair Edit’s story.
- Plan and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely updates.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and authentic manner.
- Foster a strong online community by initiating conversations, encouraging user-generated content, and building relationships with followers and complementary brands.
- Monitor and analyze audience feedback and trends to inform content strategy.
Growth and Analytics:
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) such as follower growth, engagement rates, and content performance.
- Identify opportunities for growth and optimization based on data insights and trends.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns (launches and promotions) and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Influencer and Partnership Manager to create and promote content.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to produce visually appealing content.
- Direct some social media shoots as needed
Trend Monitoring and Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, particularly on Instagram and TikTok.
- Experiment with new content formats and features to keep the brand’s social media presence fresh and engaging.
- Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance the brand’s social media strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in social media management, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Proven content creator
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools and content management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
