Role Overview
We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Bookkeeper to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial operations for a diverse portfolio of optometry practices. Your responsibilities will encompass transaction coding, account reconciliation, monthly book closure, payroll management, and accounts payable support. You will play a critical role in our mission to streamline financial management for our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping and financial reporting for independent optometry practices.
- Assist in transaction coding and collaborate with practice owners on financial decisions regarding equipment purchases.
- Reconcile accounts and finalize monthly financial reports.
- Oversee payroll tasks, including processing, tax payments, and filing payroll documentation.
- Provide financial services for up to 60 client practices monthly.
- Offer constructive feedback to enhance and refine our service offerings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto Payroll, ADP, or Paychex is advantageous.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, vLookup, and other key functions, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, with the capability to work remotely.
- Collaborative attitude and a team player.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant bookkeeping experience is required, preferably within a similar industry.
