Lead Accountant
Seeking a proficient Lead Accountant for a well-established financial services firm specializing in investment management. As a Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis within the organization. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and assist with audits
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles
- Expertise in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
