Our client, a publishing and digital media company, is looking for a Marketing Strategist with a focus on acquisition and engagement briefs, and ideally has experience developing sales campaigns for consumer subscriptions. This is a remote freelance position that will be part time (around 20 hours per week) for the next few months, starting in February.
Responsibilities
- Support the client's consumer revenue team in multi-channel campaign work
- Collaborate with Consumer Marketing team partners to develop creative briefs that effectively communicate strategic objectives of each campaign request
- Partner with internal stakeholders and the brand creative team to form and capture ideas and goals, outline plans and timelines as well as the design + copy application and final deliverables
- Clearly present ideas and concepts for consumer campaigns that focus on acquisition, retention and engagement
- Concept original copy and design work for various formats, interpretations, and channels, including: onsite, in-app, social, web, email, print, event / experiential, etc.
- Analyze and work with data to understand performance and inform future campaigns
- Use feedback to refine and iterate campaign concepts
- Understand best copy and design practices across all social channels, website, email, etc.
- Sell in and champion work the creative team's work as well as tie it back to the team's original objectives / goals
- Ensure campaign objectives are clearly communicated throughout messaging and deliverables
- Partner with cross functional marketing and product teams to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date
- Fully understand and consistently reflect the brand voice across all brands
- Stay informed on objective of projects to ensure any changes throughout the lifecycle of a campaign stay true to desired outcomes
- Understand channel specific best practices to help guide promotional language, designs and iterations
- Keep abreast of trends in content and style reflected on various digital channels
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of creative strategy and development experience, ideally working on cross functional, multi-channel, comprehensive consumer campaigns
- A portfolio of case studies / previous campaign work is a plus
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with Asana or a similar project management system is preferred
- Be comfortable in a client-facing role, working directly with internal stakeholders to sell in ideas
- Have excellent verbal, oral and written communication skills
- Be willing to collaborate with a creative team of writers, graphic designers, and others
- Be able to manage time and juggle multiple projects while staying self-motivated and well organized
- Be able to hit the ground running and feel comfortable working without hand holding
