Overview: FASD United is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Program Assistant to support the International Research Conferences on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) under the supervision of the Conference Director. This position also requires providing support to other FASD United programs during slower periods of conference-related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing the International Research Conferences on FASD.
- Provide administrative support to the Conference Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Manage complex mail merges, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to create, format, and edit various documents, including reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Handle data entry, manage databases, and generate detailed reports as required.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and logistics for conference participants and staff.
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders, including researchers, sponsors, and attendees.
- Support other FASD United programs and initiatives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Ensure all tasks are completed with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex mail merges.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
- Willingness to travel as required for work-related events and activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or administrative support roles.
- Knowledge of FASD or related fields.
- Preference given to persons living in the greater Seattle area.
