Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic IT Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and operations for the IT department. This role bridges the gap between technology and finance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimizing financial performance across IT-related projects and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, an in-depth understanding of IT financial management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Monitor and analyze IT expenses, including hardware, software, and service contracts.
- Prepare and present financial forecasts to senior management.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of IT initiatives.
- Generate detailed reports on IT expenditures and financial performance.
- Provide actionable insights to optimize IT spending and resource allocation.
- Project and Cost Management
- Collaborate with IT leaders to assess the financial feasibility of projects.
- Track IT project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Vendor and Contract Management
- Manage financial aspects of vendor contracts, including negotiation, renewals, and compliance.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure IT financial processes comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Mitigate financial risks associated with IT operations and contracts.
- Collaboration and Leadership
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align IT financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Lead a team of financial analysts and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on IT or technology-related functions.
- Strong knowledge of IT financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in IT governance and technology lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS financial modeling, or cybersecurity budgeting.
- Certification in ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus.
