Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounting Manager to lead our day-to-day financial operations and ensure the timely completion of monthly financial closes. This vital role reports directly to the President and is tasked with managing accounting processes utilizing Sage 300 CRE, Sage Inventory Management, and Dashboards. The Accounting Manager will supervise a focused team, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and office clerical staff, while delivering insightful financial projections and statements to ownership. Additional responsibilities encompass overseeing multi-state financial configurations, managing depreciation schedules for vehicles and equipment, ensuring HR compliance, and administering the 401k plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial transactions and guarantee timely monthly financial closes
- Provide weekly financial projections and statements to company leadership
- Manage fund transfers and coordinate multi-state accounting configurations
- Maintain depreciation schedules for company vehicles and equipment
- Ensure compliance with HR regulations and manage 401k responsibilities
- Lead a team of three, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and office clerical staff
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction accounting role (preferably within the mechanical or roofing sectors)
- Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE and Sage Inventory Management
- Experience in multi-state accounting and business establishment
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities
