Position Title: Building Automation Systems Project & Service Ticket Manager

Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States

JOB SUMMARY

The BAS Project / Service Ticket Manager plays a key role in the daily operations of the Service Department.

This individual manages all small projects identified by the Service Manager or Program Managers, ensures accurate tracking of client opportunities, and oversees the workflow of incoming service requests.

The position requires strong organizational, communication, and client‐relationship skills to ensure consistent project execution and superior customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Management (55%)

Manage small‐scale Building Automation System (BAS) projects initiated by Service or Program Managers.
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet STC quality standards.
Communicate project updates with internal teams and clients.

Service Ticket Management (15%)

Receive, log, and manage incoming service calls in the service ticket software.
Assign tickets to the appropriate technicians and monitor progress through completion.
Ensure all service tickets are accurately documented with scope, resolution, and client feedback.
Maintain a clean and organized service database, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date records.

Opportunity Tracking (15%)

Maintain a centralized log of all project opportunities presented by Program Managers and Service leadership.
Track the lifecycle of each opportunity from identification through proposal, approval, and execution.
Provide weekly reporting on project and opportunity status to the Service Manager.

Client & Team Collaboration (15%)

Act as a liaison between clients, Service Technicians, and Program Managers to ensure clear communication and efficient issue resolution.
Support the Service Manager with scheduling, follow-ups, and reporting needs.
Provide innovative ideas to improve client efficiency, system performance, and Smart Tech Contracting service delivery.

Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)

Knowledge of project management software including MS Project and Procore
Knowledge of the importance of the Method of Procedure (MOP) process and work notifications Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and / or Revit
Knowledge of DDC and PLC platforms including Tridium Niagara, Distech, Honeywell and Allen Bradley
Knowledge of contracts / subcontracts and review process
Knowledge of BAS, EPMS, ICT and role in overall construction projects
Knowledge of industry trends, project management and construction management procedures and best practices
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction mission critical, commercial buildings, or other structures.
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management.
Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace.
Ability to identify and analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.
Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact.

Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and / or OSHA training as / if required.

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS

Up to 15%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states
Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline

Minimum of five years' experience hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of BAS, EPMS and HVAC Control Systems with DDC and / or PLC platforms.
