Overview
We are seeking a loyal detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our small law firm. We handle only personal injury cases. The Legal Assistant will be a key player on the team and assist with all cases beginning to end. This position in 100% remote and 7 hours per day, 9am to 4pm, but gets paid for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks.
Docket deadlines.
Format all pleadings and correspondence.
Schedule depositions, hearings, and conference calls.
File and E-file documents in State and Federal Courts.
Assist with document management and file organization.
Assist with trial preparation.
Request medical records and police reports.
Draft form letters and form legal documents.
Answer phones 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday and act as the primary point of contact between clients, insurance companies and the attorney.
Notarize documents.

Experience

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Willing to train.
Personal injury experience preferred but not required.
Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision.
High proficiency in Word and Outlook.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
