The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function while supporting month-end financial processes.

You will play a central role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong processes, and supporting the wider finance team. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, technical accounting expertise, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Accounts Receivable Oversight

Oversee daily AR operations and ensure smooth transaction processing
Support and guide the AR team, resolving blockers and maintaining workflow efficiency
Ensure accurate data entry and consistent financial records

📅 Month-End & Reporting

Lead and support month-end close processes within agreed timelines
Perform reconciliations and post necessary adjustments
Prepare financial summaries and month-end reporting
Assist with VAT return preparation and submission

🔧 Systems & Process Management

Maintain and manage the Xero accounting system
Support improvements in financial processes and system usage
Ensure compliance with reporting standards and deadlines

🤝 Collaboration & Support

Work closely with internal teams on reporting and financial queries
Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment

Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Xero (essential)
Minimum 10+ years of accounting experience
Proven experience managing or supervising a team
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable processes
Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Strong communication and leadership capability

Preferred Experience

CPA qualification (preferred but not required)
Experience in fast-paced or scaling environments
Exposure to system changes or process improvement initiatives
