Bookkeeper

AMDEX Corporation is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team.

As the bookkeeper, you will play a key role in the business. You will be assisting in a variety of functions, including but not limited to client reporting, financial updates, and contracts support.

Responsibilities

Perform routine accounting activities including maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports, and accounts payable or receivable functions.
Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Prepare or retrieve periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
Assist with preparation of detailed progress reports, sales, monthly status reports using data within our HRIS, Accounting and Contracts systems.
Assist contracts department with statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, supplier information, certificates and representations, purchase orders and other exhibits pertaining to direct charge contracts that may be required.
Assist Controller and Contracts department as necessary.

Required Experience

Able to accurately and thoroughly document, record, and maintain information and data.
Experience with Costpoint.
Technically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Experience with accounting software preferred.
Open to learning opportunities; has a positive “can-do” approach and attitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to build good cross-functional relationships.
Able to shift gears quickly and prioritize daily tasks and projects.

Desired Experience

Experience with ADP is desirable.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree specializing in Accounting, Finance or Business and 2+ years of experience.
Extra years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
